La Paloma park a beautiful landscaped park 3 to 4 minutes walk from the Minerva Jupiter apartments covers around 200,000 m² in the centre of Benalmádena Costa. It's just 200 to 300 metres from the main road and beaches, but at the same time it's very relaxing and fairly quiet. Many of the local people visit the park on Sundays and have picnics there. There is a large lake with a high jet of water in the park, which gives a refreshing feel to the atmosphere during hot days. There is a fence all around the park with only 3 or 4 gates so it's safe to let children wander. There are lots of birds around. Turtles in the lake and other animals such as rabbits wander around the park. A recent addition to the park is Selwo Marina having dolphin shows, sea lions, penguins and parrots.
